About the Role

  • Reports directly to the Venue Manager
  • Deliver outstanding wine service and help guests choose the ideal wine to enhance their dining experience.
  • Supervision of bar and service staff
  • Manage wine and beverage inventory
  • Ensure standards of excellence are achieved regarding customer service, staff presentation and grooming
  • Lead by example and mentor/guide new colleagues
  • Help, train and support the team on the floor and in the bar when required

 About You

  • 2 Years management position in a high quality bar.
  • Extensive knowledge of Spirits and Cocktail creation and making.
  • WSET accreditation or other formal wine training
  • Expertise in wines from around the world, specialising in selections from Australia and Italy.
  • Able to plan logically and set clear working goals
  • Great problem solving skills
  • Ability to train and mentor other staff
  • Experienced and motivated to work in a fast-paced busy environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Valid ACT RSA and full working rights in Australia
